I was so grateful when I was asked to shoot Melba's 100th birthday party. Her sweet niece had no idea what to get her for her birthday and then she decided that having someone come in and shoot the party would be just what she wanted. I have to say that this is one of favorite shoots so far. During my time with sweet Melba I learned so much about her.... she met her husband at chruch, she never learned to drive, she has two children and not one single grandchild, she has a smile for days, a love of jewelry, and that she was able to get around just fine until she fell a couple years back... can you imagine....up and walking at 98 years of age!!!

She greeted every guest at the party with a huge smile!! 

Family flew in from out of state to celebrate, so not only was is a

 birthday party but it was also a family reunion.

"I have never had my picture taken so much in my LIFE!" 

When everyone sang to her she was very moved.....

Ok, so maybe I was too. :)
